But being the best at doing the job does not guarantee success as a manager. Managing involves working closely with many different level so people within the organization and learning how to influence and persuade, more than command-and-control.
NDC coaches are very experienced with understanding the role of the unit manager and/or supervisor and the inherent stressors in the job. We are able to open dialogue with clients about those pressure points and help them explore new and more productive ways of responding. For example, an employee transitioning to a supervisor can quickly derail if he or she fails to make that transition well.
