New Directions, an innovative training and workforce development firm, announces the promotion of Penny Willette and Matthew Harrington. Willette moved from Office Assistant to Office Manager and Harrington moved from Business Development Manager to Director of Business Development and Operations.
Willette of Pownal, Vermont was formerly the Office Assistant at New Directions, having come on board in the summer of 2012. Prior to joining New Directions, Willette was HR manager of Mezze Restaurant Group out of Williamstown, MA. and had worked for Sante Magazine, a national trade publication for restaurant professionals. Willette holds an Associate’s degree from the Community College of Vermont.
Harrington has worked at New Directions since 2009 in the capacity of marketing, sales, and social media management. Harrington previously worked at Media Logic, a strategic marketing firm located in Albany, NY, as the Marketing Coordinator. Harrington also works closely with the Tech Valley Young Professionals Network and sits on the editorial advisory board for the Albany-Colony Chamber’s CAPITAL Magazine. Harrington holds a Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Oneonta.
