Founder of the Virtual Internship Program Joins Global Workforce Development Firm
(Albany, NEW YORK) — Robert Braathe is the newest addition to the New Directions team, as both a business partner and trainer. New Directions is a global workforce development firm located in southern Vermont since 1984 and works with various organizations on staff training, leadership development and organizational strategy.
An established college professor, Braathe is also founder of Braathe Enterprises, a business think-tank located in Albany, NY. Braathe founded Braathe Enterprises in 2005, with the mission to help businesses reach excellence through the customized training and coaching that Braathe offers. Braathe Enterprises also boasts a virtual internship program by the same name, in which students from around the world are paired with organizations, providing work experience in the various fields which they are studying. The innovative Braathe Enterprise, which just opened a satellite office on the west coast, is also set to release its next project titled The Business Lab where businesses in the Capital Region can bring projects like website maintenance, social media management, and business growth initiatives to The Business Lab for a full-shop, get-the-job-done experience.
“We met Robert about a year ago and have worked with him in various capacities in other associations we’re both involved with. Robert is one of those guys who shows up, on time, ready to go with a head full of ideas, and a willingness to put in the work to see those ideas fulfilled – we liked that a lot around here,” stated Matthew Harrington, Director of Business Development and Operations with New Directions. “It seemed only natural, after seeing the skills that Robert brings to the table, to form a collaboration with him and Braathe Enterprises. Robert has vast experience, a background in business coaching and teaching, and he’s willing to try new things. We think he will make a great addition to our team and give our clients another experienced trainer and consultant to tap into.”
“I’m excited to join this very committed team and to see where we can take the partnership. It’s fun when like-minded, business people get together and everyone puts their talents into the mix – we’ll see what happens!” Braathe added.
