New Directions To Offer Five Professional Development Workshops in Albany This Fall

New Directions will be hosting five professional development workshops open to the public this fall season.  The workshops, held at the Quality Inn on Troy Schenectady Road in Latham, will focus on key development skills needed in the workplace for managers, supervisors and leaders.

Untitled-2Starting on Thursday, November 7th, workshop one will be How to Increase Engagement and Accountability in Your Organization.  The second workshop, on Monday, November 11th, will be How to Get Your Ideas Across and Give Better Presentations followed by the third workshop, on Thursday, November 14th, entitled, How to Collaborate and Influence Others When Your Position Lacks Authority.  On Monday, November 19th, the fourth workshop will be How to Achieve Better Work/Life Balance. The final workshop will be How to Improve In-House Training Results on Thursday, November 21st.

Each full-day training session costs $149 per attendee and will be held at the Quality Inn at 611 Troy Schenectady Road in Latham.  Workshops will begin at 8:30am and finish at 4:00pm.

New Directions, who will provide the trainers for the series, is a global employee development firm having trained for over 29 years in organizations like Alcoa, Coca-Cola, CAP COM FCU, The Vascular Group, Sanofi Pasteur, Delta Faucet, SI Group and the U.S. Navy.  Recently, the firm published Survival of the Hive: 7 Leadership Lessons from a Beehive through Author House publishing.  The company is also well-known for having published 3 books in the Team-Building Tool Kit series, and having a fourth book with QPC’s Memory Jogger series in process.  The organization was recently featured on the cover of capital regions CAPITAL Magazine for its work with young professionals.
